12-year-old boy shot while playing video games at Okolona apartment, neighbors say: ‘It’s bad’

More than 300 nonfatal shootings have been reported this year in Louisville, and one of the latest victims is only 12 years old.Officers responded to the Dunwoody Court Apartments around 9:30 p.m. Sunday and located a boy with a gunshot wound that appeared to be non-life-threatening. Neighbors say he was struck after a reported drive-by shooting.”When I walk my dog back, I see 5-0 pulling in here in massive amounts; fire department, paramedics, and they said someone had been hit upstairs, a man’s grandchild,” said Christopher Watson, a resident of the complex.Watson was walking his dog late Sunday when the shooting happened at the apartment building where he lives.
