There are some new upgrades at Dairy Creek Golf Course within El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo.
It’s offering a new augmented reality golf experience called Swing Time. This makes it one of 11 places in California with the Toptracer technology.
“So the same technology that’s used in the pro games when you’re watching that and the same thing that’s used in Topgolf,” said Nick Franco, San Luis Obispo County Parks Director.
It’s a mix of a driving range, a sports bar, and a computer game.
“So your input to your virtual game is your golf ball,” Franco explained.
Whether you’ve played golf or not, you hit a golf ball into targets and on your computer screen, you’re playing a game.
“You can get points or you can get closest to the hole or you can play world-famous golf courses or whatever it is and it’s right there on your screen,” Franco said.
