It looks like the cat’s out of the bag. A new Activision studio is apparently being put together in California — according to a new job listing, Activision Mobile will be dedicated to making “the best AAA mobile games in the world.”
Activision is a long-running game developer and publisher that has grown from making console games into becoming one of the biggest publishing juggernauts in the business, fueled in part by its success with the Call of Duty franchise. It already has a number of in-house developers and subsidiaries under its umbrella including Blizzard Entertainment, a company that’s a giant in its own right. Now, it looks like it’s going to be working in the mobile space even more.
