As the pandemic rolled in last year, My.Games attributing COVID lockdowns to its improved revenue in the early part of the year. Remarkably, the Russian publisher has managed to keep that momentum going, as its recently released Q2 2021 financial report showed.
Revenue for the first half of 2021 was up 18% over the first half of 2020, and even up very slightly (1%) over the second half of 2020. 74% of that revenue came from outside Russia and the CIS, with main contributors being the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.
As usual, Warface remains a really big deal for the company, having reached 117.4 million players, with 24 million of those being on consoles and enjoying recently added cross-play functionality. Its addition to the Epic Games Store was labeled as “broadening distribution of this key franchise title.”
