Wizards District Gaming swept Jazz Gaming 3-0 in the best-of-five finals to earn their second straight NBA 2K League championship Saturday at Mavs Gaming Hub in Dallas.
In the process, the affiliate of the Washington Wizards secured the first-place prize of $450,000 and also became the first NBA 2K team to win multiple championships, let alone two in a row.
Point guard Jack “JBM” Mascone was named Finals MVP after averaging 22.3 points and 11.3 assists in the series.
In Game 1, Wizards District Gaming fell behind 14-9 early before rallying to tie it at 29 at halftime and take control in the third quarter on the way to a 69-62 victory.
Brandon “BRich” Richardson led the team with 21 points at shooting guard, while backcourt mate JBM racked up 19 points and 14 assists beside him. Jazz Gaming point guard Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram led all scorers with 34.
