The Philippine Sports Commission, through the Office of Commissioner Charles Raymond A. Maxey, on Friday continued its goal of preserving traditional sports with the staging of a modified version of the Indigenous Peoples Games.
PSC Commissioner Charles Raymond Maxey, joins the ritual/cultural dance before the start of the documentation of Indigenous Peoples Games on Friday in Tublay, Benguet.
The traditional sports and games of the IP communities in the Province of Benguet was recorded for showcase and documentation in the spirit of the preservation, promotion and propagation of culture.
“We’re happy and very thankful to Gov. Melchor Diclas and other officials as well as to tribe leaders for their understanding and support. Dahil sa pandemya, nilimitahan namin ang partisipasyon ng mga katutubo sa documentation and recording,” said Maxey.
