Previous console generations have moved on pretty fast, with developers and publishers not waiting all that long to start developing games exclusively for new platforms. This latest console generation is an exception to that rule, as developers have worked to make their games available both for older hardware and the new platforms. As a result, there haven’t been many games released exclusively for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, with most titles launching as cross-gen games.
This is of course reflected with the Xbox Game Pass lineup in any given month, with the vast majority of games available for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
