Since January, the WIP morning show has been featuring guest hosts on Wednesdays as Angelo Cataldi throttles down toward retirement.
Station talent such as Jon Johnson, Joe DeCamara, and Jon Marks have been doing most of the Wednesday fill-ins, but the morning show has also brought in some special mystery guests to host in recent weeks. Merrill Reece and Ross Tucker have filled that spot, while Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce has probably been the most popular guest host.
Who else could fill in as the year progresses and more athletes, broadcasters, and celebrities become available? Cataldi and crew used that question to set up a bit, in which Tucker’s appearance was so well-received that several candidates left voicemails for WIP program director Rod Lakin to consider as future mystery guest hosts.
