
Valve has officially released Proton 7.0-5 as the newest version of their Wine downstream that powers Steam Play for enjoying countless Windows games on Linux, most notably now with the Steam Deck. Valve has also introduced “Proton Next” as their new testing grounds for future Proton updates.
Proton 7.0-5 has been officially released and makes a number of additional Windows games now playable on Linux. Now considered playable with Proton 7.0-5 include Rift, Unravel 2, Re-Volt, Indiana Jones and the Emperor Tomb, and several more. There are also fixes helping out games like Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year, Spider-Man Remastered, GTA V, Tekken 7, and more.
Proton 7.0-5 also updates its integrated DXVK build for Direct3D 9/10/11 atop Vulkan. There is also now network video support for VRChat.
