Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, the highly-anticipated expansion to Elite Dangerous that will see players stepping out of their crafts onto planets’ surfaces for the first time, has been delayed on consoles.
In an update on the game’s official website, British studio Frontier Developments explained that the expansion’s release had to be delayed due to “the ongoing impact of the pandemic,” including the renewed lockdowns that have been put in place in the UK.
“Please do know that these difficult decisions have been made with a focus on making Odyssey as incredible as it can possibly be for all our Commanders regardless of their platform, while also respecting realistic project deadlines for our teams during this difficult global situation,” explained the developer.
