Sony and the team at PlayStation announced their plans today for a combined PS Plus and PS Now service launching this June, and PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has been talking a bit more about it in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz.
Interestingly, Ryan brought up once again that he was not interested in following the Xbox Game Pass route of adding new PlayStation first-party releases to the service at launch, suggesting that due to the way PlayStation operates at present, it could ultimately lead to worse quality games in the future:
“We feel like we are in a good virtuous cycle with the studios, where the investment delivers success, which enables yet more investment, which delivers yet more success. We like that cycle and we think our gamers like that cycle.”
