
As announced over on Xbox Wire, Minecraft Preview is available to Xbox Insiders via the Insider Hub app. The first few phases of planned testing involve the importing of maps from the retail edition into this preview build, although the Wire post notes that you don’t even need to own the retail edition in order to download and play Minecraft Preview — this effectively makes this new build a fully-featured (effectively) free-to-play version of the wildly popular crafting game, albeit at the expense of cross-platform play and compatibility with retail versions (beyond importing worlds into Preview).
