Immortals Fenyx Rising headlines this week’s lineup of new PlayStation Store releases for the PS5 and PS4.
Are you ready for another open-world adventure from Ubisoft? Immortals Fenyx Rising is the third such game from the publisher in little over a month, following Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It’s a new IP that takes inspiration from Greek mythology and, well, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If the game is half as good as Nintendo’s 2017 classic, I suppose we’re in for a treat.
We’re more excited for Empire of Sin from Romero Games. It’s an ambitious game that blends role-playing, strategic combat, and building a criminal empire. The Prohibition-era setting looks sumptuous, and if the moment-to-moment gameplay is as impressive, it could be something of a gem.
