The Las Vegas Raiders chose former Murphy High School standout Neil Farrell Jr. with the 126th pick in the 87th NFL Draft on Saturday.
The LSU defensive tackle enters the NFL as a fourth-round draft choice after earning the award as the best defensive lineman on the American team during Reese’s Senior Bowl week in his hometown of Mobile.
The American defensive linemen included Florida State’s Jermaine Johnson II and Georgia’s DeVonte Wyatt. The New York Jets chose Johnson with the 26th pick and the Green Bay Packers chose Wyatt with the 28th choice in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.
