ESPN is reportedly looking to sell its X Games action sports event franchise as the US media giant continues to restructure its business in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a report by The Information, the proposed sale of the 25-year-old event series forms ‘part of a broader review’ of the Disney-owned company’s assets.
The report says ESPN has considered a couple of options for the X Games, including selling the rights to show the events as part of a multi-year deal that ‘would fetch around US$100 million’.
