A video game in mobile phone has claimed the life of a Class 9 student in Odisha. On Thursday (September 30), a 14-year-old boy died allegedly by suicide after his mother rebuked him and snatched the phone over his addiction to a video game.
The shocking incident has been reported from Keonjhar district. Deceased Soumya Ranjan Jena was a student of Salapada Adarsha Vidyalaya. And ever since online education has started, Soumya has been engrossed in playing a videogame in the cell phone.
As per reports, after returning from the school yesterday, the boy started playing Free Fire game on mobile phone. But situation yesterday was different. As his exams were scheduled to be held the next day (Friday), his mother reprimanded and stopped him from playing the game.
