Veteran St. Luke’s coach Ronn Lee doesn’t want to forget what happened to his team last season.
The Wildcats were shut down three times in 2020 due to COVID-19, the final time costing them an appearance in the playoffs.
The normally clean-cut Lee came to Mobile County Media Day on Thursday with long hair and no immediate plans to trim it.
“There is a reason for everything from a guy who used to be completely shaved to short hair always,” he said. “When we played our last game and the following week we were headed to the playoffs, we were taken off the field due to COVID for the third time. We were unable to play our last game as well as unable to play in the first round of the playoffs. I haven’t had a haircut since.”
