As a franchise, Crackdown helped put Xbox where it is today, but the prospect of a fourth game in the series remains uncertain in 2021.
Gamers old enough to remember playing the original Crackdown on the Xbox 360 will remember that it was also one of the games that helped sell the console. Its popularity was such that even now, quotes like “skills for kills, Agent” can bring back a flood of memories. All talk of the series seems to have gone quiet since 2019’s Crackdown 3, however, which raises the question of whether a fourth game will ever happen.
