The Memphis Grizzlies, led by Ja Morant, captured their fourth win in their last five games with a 122-112 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night. The Grizzlies survived multiple challenges by the Pistons, but never trailed in tonight’s game, marking their fifth win of the season in which they led after every quarter.
Morant led all scorers tonight with 33 points, including 21 points in the third quarter, a new career-high in any quarter for Morant. He also dished out 10 assists and grabbed five rebounds. Jaren Jackson Jr. returned to the state that saw him star for Michigan State and contributed with 22 points on 7-of-13 from the field. He has scored 20+ points in six of the eight games played this season.
