Over the last month of the NBA season, over 50 players have been placed into the league’s COVID health and safety protocols. The Chicago Bulls have had to have two of their games postponed because they did not have enough players. Typically games can only be postponed if a team has less than eight players available. This has forced the hand of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
According to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the league is going to implement new COVID protocols.
ESPN Sources: The NBA and NBPA have agreed to new Covid protocols for the Christmas holidays, including daily testing and increased use of masks. Fifty-two players have gone into the league’s protocols this month.
