As he stood on the postgame podium, Bears pass rusher Robert Quinn was almost at a loss for words. Almost.
“Sickening,” he said.
The Bears had just lost 16-13 to the Baltimore Ravens, victims of a game-winning drive executed by a quarterback named Tyler Huntley, and Quinn, who was wearing his feelings on his face, was asked how it felt.
The heartbreaker of a loss, the five-game losing streak, the tsunami of hurt feelings that are familiar to Bears fans who have watched this franchise fail over and over again. Quinn, who had 3 1/2 sacks and three tackles for loss, was channeling it all through the end of this game.
“It was a gut punch,” he said.
At one point between questions, Quinn shook his head and made some exasperated noises as he relived the breakdown in his mind. He looked shell-shocked, and after that game, who could blame him?
