SO far, 1,100 individuals have signed an online petition against a local law that opponents say would shut down e-gaming businesses and put their employees out of work amid an economic downturn and the Covid-19 pandemic.
E-gaming operators MP Holdings LLC and Mariana Entertainment LLC said they were grateful and humbled by the support from the community.
MP Holdings general manager Bart Jackson said community members have also signed over 100 letters from residents and voters addressed to the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation, “respectfully asking for the delegation to meet with e-gaming operators and to work with them on compromise amendments to S.L.L. 22-6.”
