First released for the Xbox 360, Alan Wake was easily in my opinion the best non-RPG exclusive for the platform. Although developer Remedy Entertainment since released Control for PlayStation consoles which did allude to the game in its downloadable content, you were unable to play the original game on non-Xbox/PC hardware. At least… until now.
Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that the psychological action-thriller Alan Wake will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from 5 October 2021. This will be through the Alan Wake Remastered collection, which features the original story (plus all originally released DLC) in one collection, with all-new 4K visuals, updated environments, cutscenes, and a brand-new making-of commentary.
