In a relief to actor Salman Khan, a lower court in Mumbai has directed Parody Studios Pvt Ltd and Google LLC to temporarily take down or recall access to an online mobile game ‘Selmon Bhoi’ available on Google Play Store.
Mumbai City Civil Court judge KM Jaiswal while giving temporary relief to the actor, has posted the case for further hearing to September 20.
“If no ad-interim reliefs are granted certainly defendants no 1 to 3 (Parody Studios) will continue making commercial gain and the image of the plaintiff (Salman Khan) will be damaged,” observed the court.
“Therefore, in my considered opinion, till the defendants file the reply and the prima facie the case is made out by the plaintiff, the balance of convenience lies in his favour and if no ad-interim reliefs are granted the plaintiff will suffer irreparable loss which can not be compensated in terms of money.”…
