The PS Plus Collection: 20 PS4 Classics on the PS5, Ranked

Console launch games tend to be a bit weak, with just a handful of interesting new games to explore. Sony is aware of this, which is why it introduced the PS Plus Collection, a library of 20 standout PS4 games that are included in your PlayStation Plus subscription if you buy a PS5.

This is a PS5-only bonus; you won’t get 20 bangers for your PS4 simply by subscribing to PS Plus (though the service’s monthly “free” games tend to also be very good). If you get a PlayStation 5 and think you’ll play through Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls quickly, though, it’s an amazing deal.

Don’t expect these games to rock PS5-quality graphics. They aren’t remasters, and they’ll only play as well as they would on a PS4 Pro. The PlayStation 5 might be powerful, but games need to be programmed to take advantage of that power, and these PS4 games do not. That doesn’t make them any less…
