It’s the new year, we’re back baby, and utterly energised by the idea that 2021 can surely only be better than the year-that-shall-not-be-named. Right?
Well, at the very least, Ubisoft has had a strong start to the year, with post-Christmas discounts for Immortals Fenyx Rising launching the open world game to the top of the Xbox Series X|S charts, overtaking Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the process. FIFA 21 drops three places to number six, trading spots with Planet Coaster: Console Edition which rises to third. Gears Tactics and Yakuza: Like a Dragon also trade places, with the tactical Gears of War game climbing to fifth place.
Meanwhile, on the Xbox One side of things, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla holds on to top spot in the new year charts. FIFA 21 stays strong in second, while Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Grand Theft Auto 5 both overtake Cyberpunk 2077, which drops to…
