It’s time to duel!
Konami has announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be heading to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Duelists will be happy to hear that Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will be a free-to-play game. Unfortunately, a release date has not been announced at this time, although a trailer has been dropped showcasing the trading card battles first-hand.
As you might expect from the game’s title, it was confirmed at Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Next Livestream that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will follow the master rules of the official Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game. This is a pleasant surprise, as previous Yu-Gi-Oh! games tend not to follow the physical card games or battle rules. Anyone else remembers Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories? The game was great fun, but it was absolutely bonkers and didn’t follow the official rules remotely.
